About Me

Carolina Robles, MSW, LCSW

Pronouns: she, her, hers

I am a bilingual, Latina Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Asheville, NC. I was born to Mexican immigrants, and raised in a single-parent household. Never did I imagine that I would one day become a therapist or start my own business.

Growing up it felt like there was always a barrier to overcome. It seemed like I had to work harder than some of my peers to achieve my goals while attempting to cope and process my own traumatic experiences.

I quickly learned that it felt that way because it was my reality as a Latina woman navigating an oppressive society. Advocating for equity and justice for marginalized communities became my passion and influenced my decision to seek a career in social work, and eventually become a therapist. As a therapist, I validate and defend the identities and experiences of the black, indigenous, people of color, and LGBTQ+ communities.

When I am not working, I can be found hiking in the mountains or scoring goals on the soccer field. I also enjoy spending time with my husband and our furbabies Pablo & Pedro.

My approach

My therapeutic approach is relational in nature rooted in compassion and empathy. I use integrative theoretical frameworks/modalities in sessions, such as psychoeducation, mindfulness, art, narrative, psychodynamic, acceptance and commitment, attachment theory, and parts work.
